I noticed while editing my original post and clicking "preview", some images I already uploaded disappeared. My best guess is that, since they are ordinally numbered (there's a _X_ in the link, where X is an integer representing which image from the gallery to use), those numbers can get changed or overridden during each preview, thus pointing to the wrong spot.
