Hi Alex. I just use an excel spreadsheet, personally, and haven't ever tried any "canned" software programs. I figured there may be several people who are happy with their program, but just don't want to go through the tedious process of researching and entering the chip data into the software, especially if they're just not speedy or accurate on the keyboard and mouse (as I am). And if they don't have a program but want one, I can download and install it for them, and then help them with their inventory. If they just want a list and don't need any fancy features, I'll give them a spreadsheet.
In your particular case, I would suggest you see if any other companies will give you a trial and check out the features. If you find one you like, but can't figure out how to migrate the data yourself, I'll be happy to help you with that, either via remote login (I log into your system from mine) or doing it in person if the remote method won't work for some reason.
At some point, I will probably have to analyze all available software programs out there so that I can choose one that I can recommend to folks. In the meantime, my offer is pretty simple... research and enter information quickly and efficiently.
