You refer to "your" chips and "my" chips in your posts....IT IS NOT ABOUT THAT!!!!....it is about introducing the masses to another area of
collecting/investing. Right now, adhering to the no-slabbing policy says YES to a couple of hundred club members, but says NO to an untold
number of potential buyers.
In order to do it properly you can't just have an outlier slab some chips, throw them on e-bay, and then judge those results. It would have to be a coordinated effort between grading service(s) and club officials, with full support of the club and removal of restrictions. Grader(s) would have to be known, respected, knowledgeable, chippers endorsed by the club. This would immediately add legitimacy to the process and possibly create a windfall of new collectors.
