This chip collecting hobby is alive and very vibrant. If your collecting common everyday current chips that's a different story. The market is flooded with these chips. In most cases its better to have 2 or 3 rare Nevada chips then to have 10,000 common chips. The market for rare and unlisted Las Vegas chips is extremely vibrant. These are the chips most in demand by high -end collectors, that's where the action is. And yes they are out there , you just have to look hard and be persistent, and be willing to step up and pay a fair price. You can't expect to buy super rare chips for pennies on the dollar. The recent story posted by Mark F. is a great example. The days of collectors paying 4 to 5 figures for rare chips is still alive and well.
