Robert Eisenstadt and I bought a selection of chips from someone who (at the time) recently returned from traveling offshore just after selling us a huge collection of other chips a week or so earlier. Upon inspection, I noticed graphics on some of the chips found on chips from Spain, though my notes do not mention Euopean travel. Some of the chips in the collection were what some would agree were kept away from the inventory; an old-world practice believed of casino owners; not being uncommon in study and in actual hands-on transactions.
Once I assemble examples for illustration, I will either show them here for ID thoughts or do so privately. We'll see.
BTW, nothing in the exhibit will be for sale (so no puffery here ), though I may giftdeed pieces to the families from where some of the material came from, originally, and to historical societies and libraries; though not those government controlled... just something I do.
Bottom line; really no big thing $-wise and mostly connecting the dots and historical study.
In fact, they might not be shown in one single grouping...
Also,. I never did ID the uniface "FL" nacar... and I will be trading/selling my pieces shortly.
