Some past history .... Over the years, some HOF members either voted for no one, or for just one person, sometimes resulting in no single person receiving a required majority vote from the living HOF Committee members. Last year this procedure was changed to 51% of the total votes cast hoping that would solve a few stalemates. My assumption is that no single candidate this year received 51% of the total HHOF Committee votes cast .... among SEVERAL HOF candidates whose names were published on the ballot. Only the HOF Chairman knows what the actual votes were. The HOF Committee does not know who gets inducted until the night of the annual banquet when the winner(s) are announced.
