Today's "Chips of the Day" come once again from the "CAL-NEVA LODGE" and will conclude this series of posts. Located on Highway 28 in Crystal Bay, on the north shore of Lake Tahoe, the Lodge first opened in 1926 as a small cabin that quickly became a favorite hangout for the Locals. When a fire destroyed the Cabin on May 17th, 1937 it was quickly rebuilt in just 30 days by employing around 500 men who worked around the clock to reopen the Lodge later that same year. Today's classic crest & seal chips were their first chips issued after reopening in 1937. Enjoy!
