Chuck:

This is a good luck piece as opposed to a coin. The side with the dragons is the Reverse and the side with the 4 Chinese Characters in the Obverse.

This is also a fantasy piece as it was struck as opposed to being cast.

The side with the Chinese Characters reads as follows:

Top and Bottom is the name of the Dynasty (Ch'ien Lung) who ruled from 1723 to 1735. The Left and Right characters looses translates to money.

Seeing as how Western Style coin presses did not make it into China until the late 1800's, this item was made long after the ruler was dead and buried.
