About 10 or 15 years ago I heard that the old Cotton Club boat from the Tunica area was stored near the Splash site. Supposedly the chips were still on the boat. I decided to walk to see it from the Splash site and it was a loooong walk - maybe 4 or 5 miles in the 95 degree heat. I got to within 200 yards of it before I chickened out. I was alone and the path to the boat was kind of over grown. With the threat of snakes, etc. plus not knowing if it was guarded I did not want to take a chance of getting killed or injured 5 miles from the nearest occupied place (this was before cell phones service was everywhere.) I never did find out if the chips were on the boat or not. In fact I am not sure if the boat is still there or not.
