Re: Now What Do I Do?
In Response To: Now What Do I Do? ()

It really depends upon the individual and sometimes a persons financial situation.
Can you afford to just collect the chip?
Do your palms itch to gamble them?
Can you sell them and make some or all of the money back?
If you have duplicates...do they have desirability for trading?

Me personally...I probably would not keep a $100 knowing you could win possibly $100...$200 or more. But then again..I might not have the financial stability of some of the other chippers and it would really suck to bet it and lose it in 1 hand.
Other wise...I try to keep NCV chips when I get them from casinos. They are normally in good condition and they just are not a “normal” chip...possibly a bit more rare?

Some casinos would let you trade in the $100 for smaller denominations (of NCV) chips to play. Others would tell you that you couldn’t trade and you must play the $100 chip. It all depends upon the casino.
I remember see someone play a NCV chip on a blackjack table and when the player won...the dealer simply paid the player by giving them a cashable chip, but taking away the NCV chip. Like a switch-a-roo. I can’t remember where I was..Cruiseship or Caribbean...but I was like...that’s a bunch of crap!!!
I asked the dealer and floorman and they said you only get 1 bet with that chip...you win or you lose. I would of given him $10 for it. 🤫
