The Great Place..

Back when I was really into horse racing, I went to San Anita easily 200 times in 1980s and 1990s. Went the day after Christmas opening day just about every year for The Malibu Stakes, dinner was always at the Derby, Cleamans Northwoods Inn (the snow on the roof joint) Bahooka (wannabes Kelbos) or Peppers and drinks at the 100-1 Club. Always sat in the Clubhouse or Clubhouse loge. My best day betting ponies ever was 1993 Breeders Cup had 6 of 8 winners on top and even had the exacta with Arcangues over Bertrando. Arcangues was 133-1. Ate dinner at the Derby that night and my wallet was so full of hundos I couldnt even close my wallet lol..fun times..
