Today's "Chips of the Day" come from the "CAL-NEVA BILTMORE" which was located on Highway 28 in Crystal Bay, on the north shore of the Lake. First opened as the "Tahoe Biltmore" in 1948, became the "CAL-NEVA BILTMORE" in 1952 until closing in 1956. This location later reopened as the "Nevada Lodge" in 1958 and has now been the "Tahoe Biltmore" again since 1986. Today's attractive chips are from their first and only issue in 1952. Enjoy!
"A replica of a San Francisco Cable Car was used as the logo on their chips and to shuttle patrons back and forth from the 'Cal-Neva Biltmore' to the 'Cal-Neva Lodge', which were both located across Highway 28 from each other"
