I wasn't thinking of the casino-cancelled chips when I wrote the preceeding note, Bob. You're right, of course, about the good chips that are out there with a cancellation. These are usually not the 'sunburst' cancellation that Paul-son uses, but are usually the "No Value" or other such words stamped over the chip. The Monte Carlo 100's you will not find without the cancel, so if you want the chip, you pay the price. Many of the Holiday Casino, Las Vegas chips in large denominations are the same way. There might be a handful available uncancelled, but for most collectors, the cancelled version is all that's going to be priced within their budget.
I happen to think the Monte Carlo $100 is worth about face, based on the number available. Email me if you're serious about wanting to sell for that price.
