You had a veritable orchard in your yard, Rich!

We had a Persian Lime which rarely bore fruit. One coconut palm. Giant grove of banana trees (those little triangular fruits with black seeds which Mexicans call "burros"). The bananas were inadvertently planted beside the septic tank leach field and grew like weeds. A mango tree that grew from a discarded seed and bore a ton of fruit. Jamaican pepper bushes with blazingly-hot peppers. And a honey-apple, beautiful little tree that never produced while we lived there. The honey-apple is hard to describe, a fruit that can be broken into sections, tough outer skin, gritty like a pear but sweet as honey.
