On Thursday "Mother Nature" showed her Power and stirred up the usually calm Indian River. The wind blow at around 50+ mph from the Southeast and 3 foot high waves battered the bulkhead in my front yard. Luckily the tide was low and the storm passed with only minimal rain and there was very little damage (a couple of loose boards on the pier). 95% of the time we are blessed to live on the very beautiful River but every once in a while "Mother Nature" shows who is really in charge !!
