to LT every year for many years from So. Cal. once we stopped in Carson City to see his friend Herbie. He collected Elvis and Marilyn Monroe's stuff. While looking around in his house I spotted a 2.00 Gary's chip in a glass case. I asked where did he get that chip. he told me he was an employee at Gary's in 1976 he gave each employee (10) a Bi-Cent. chip. Only 12 made. I asked if I could buy the chip as I'm a collector of chips, he said it is sentimental and he wants to keep the chip. But, when he dies I can have the chip. Well a few years later Herbie passed, my buddy and I drove to LT and stopped by Herbie's house and spoke with his wife, hoping she heard the promise, she said yes, and gave me the chip. I sold it many years ago at our convention to Omaha Mike for 3,800.00. James Campiglia was upset with me, said he would have paid more.
