Barbara had won a 3-nite stay in Paris with air, and I turned it into 15-nites; 4 being in Nice, and 3 in Monaco, at the Monte-Carlo Beach Hotel. It was the week between the race and film fest; a dead time in the South, where everything was very inexpensive. Been to the South prior, but it was Barbara's first time. Monaco never impressed me, though Barbara liked It. We then went to Lausanne for 3 nites and took the steamer over to Evian each nite to play there. Then, took the train to Brig and the postal bus over the Simplon to Italia. I'm done with Europe, except for business... been doing it since 1962. No interest in ever returning with all there is to do here; especially now.
