............instructed me to sell his collection. I contacted a major Stamp Company in New York City. We actually did very well as Dad had some rare old US Stamps and even some high value Plate Blocks ($1 and $5 stamps) that were worth quite a bit. Mom took the money and re-modeled the House and gave 7 Grandchildren money for their College education.
