In the 6th-7th Century; regions in Italy ~~~

~~~ families in stone homes and caves would isolate from each other away from the main home in times such as this. Each stone hut was no larger than two meters square, and traveling shepherds would clean up after them in exchange for some hot food. It appears they knew more back then about quarantine than today. Those same stone huts were used by the shepherds for hundreds of years. Recordings of taxas paid to churches for passage and family drawings tell the whole story.
