A Message From The Board of Directors of the Casino Collectibles Association.
Earlier today, Jerry Vergatos received an email from the South Point, advising that they would begin the process of sending out cancellation notices of room reservations for our Convention Block of rooms. In a reply, Jerry asked for a brief delay, so that the Board could advise the entire membership in advance, which would also include advisement of what this means for Registered attendees and Dealers.
Regrettably, the South Point began sending cancellation notices within minutes of the initial email.
The Board was in a position to post an Announcement today, that we monitoring everything and had planned to decide and announce on May 1st, as to whether or not the Board wanted to go forward or cancel the Convention, unless our decision became superseded by an act of the South Point or the Governor of Nevada.
It now appears that our own announcement has been superseded, and based on the notification to Jerry Vergatos, from the South Point, our 2020 Convention is hereby canceled. The Board will soon post and email information regarding disposition of Pre-Registration and Dealer Sign-Up funds, as well as other pertinent information regarding cancellation of the 2020 Convention.
