THE CAL-NEVA LODGE (as noted in Gaming Archaeology Auction No. 21) has had an interesting and exciting history. Parts of the present-day lodge are those that were constructed in 1937. The Indian Room is an example of what today is considered to be classic Lake Tahoe architecture.
In early May of 1937, the original lodge burned to the ground in a dramatic fire. The casino was operated by Reno's famous gamblers Bill Graham and James McKay. With an effort that has not been duplicated to date [Feb. 1997], the owners of the lodge employed workers around the clock to rebuid the lodge for an opening on July 4, 1937.

The example (the only piece I have) being submitted -- and not depicted below -- is in excellent condition. On one side of the mold appears to be fingerprint type smudges on the rim.
