I spoke to Sandy Herman today and she said Roger would like if we posted her note on the board. We are praying that Roger makes a full recovery. The following note was written Saturday April 11th. (As of now, Sunday morning, Sandy still hasn't heard that a cardiologist has read the eco cardiograph.)
FROM SANDY: "Hi friends. Wanted you all to know Roger was taken to the HENDERSON Hospital this morning after displaying stroke symptoms. I called 911 and they were here literally in minutes. After much testing the neurologist called and confirmed Roger had had a small stroke on the left side of the brain near his ear. There is one test that he did not have the results back from and that was the echo cardiograph. Once that is read they will know which way to proceed. His speech was affected, but is getting better. No problems with walking or motor skills. He is staying the night, and tomorrow they will do more labs and figure out the root of the problem. With this Covid 19 absolutely no visitors to the hospital!! So I am only able to communicate via phone with the RN and doctors. Roger is resting comfortably and has a great attitude! I am fine!! Have had the phone to my ear most of the day so I am ready for a restful night sleep knowing Roger is a s good hands. Please say a prayer for him! Every little bit helps!! Love to you all!
Send up your prayers for our friend Roger Herman and his wife Sandy. She says she is supported by great neighbors, family and friends and her little dogs while waiting for Roger to come home.
