NCR A CARONO VIRUS STORY

I just have to tell this: my daughter was laid off as program director at our senior living residences when the pandemic hit and there were no more programs. She then served meals to the seniors and after working non stop for 21 days (plus feeding her family; running trips to the stores for them and me; doing my laundry; and helping me w/cleaning & other chores) finally stopped due to exhaustion. She'll be back on line tomorrow. But I relate this not because I consider her a hero (I do tho) but because it has served to remind me of the thousands (10s of thousands) of Americans (and, of course people around the world), including doctors, nurses, food providers and so many others who are daily putting their own health and lives on the line to serve all of us.

When this is over I would think that Congress should declare a national holiday to honor the memories of these wonderful people. We do this for the men and women who fought for and died for our liberty and for those whose labor made this country great. Perhaps a day in March in which instead of giving presents we would make gifts to some appropriate charities.
