CASINO QUITANDINHA- PETROPOLIS
The monumental Casino Quitandinha was constructed in Petrópolis, by the entrepeneur Joaquim Rolla, which controlled several casinos in Brasil, such as Casino Urca in Rio de Janeiro, Casino Urca in Minas Gerais, Casino Pampulha, Casino Araxá and Casino Icaraí. Was designed to be the largest casino hotel in South America. The constrution started in 1941 and lasted three years. The casino was opened in February, 12, 1944. In the architecture of the casino hotel were the influences of Hollywood and Norman-French Style. With fifty thousand square meters, six floors, 440 rooms and 13 large rooms.
