...School chip at random, Pam? 😊 Or did you remember/know that I went there for a few weeks in March 1980? I knew how to deal poker, but without juice you needed to go to a school to get a job. I ended up dealing at the Nevada Palace for a few months until Big Al, who also owned Big Al’s near the Showboat shut it down. He was running out of money. Then the owner of the motor home lot across from Big Al’s won $25,000 on the craps table & Al did not have it & that too got shut down. I was friends with the cashiers cage manager there & once gaming left he called me. A number of us stayed inside Big Al’s until about 6 in the morning. Drinking his booze & taking bottles home. That made me feel better because he owed me money for my last check. Which I never got.
