Not sure if Rich Burgel coined the term "Lost Vegas" but I have always been intrigued by those lesser known joints, those neighborhood bars, clubs, restaurants in and around Las Vegas. In our field of collectibles there's a lot emphasis awarded to the big dog casinos from the golden age of the strip, whereas the off beaten path places from the 70's 80's and 90's don't get much attention. From a collectors standpoint I consider the following match-covers to be much more scarce, so much harder to find as many of these places were short lived, very small and would only order a handful of matchbooks in comparison to say, the Desert Inn. Some of the buildings that housed these establishments have seen many changes thru the years, some torn down, some just revamped or renamed but forever "Lost Vegas"
Enjoy, Eric
