Hi Pam. I enjoy every post you make. I have a nice bit of George Canon stuff myself. So now is a chance to show a little. I have a crisp pattern repeat of the carpet used in the Gateway Dining Room. The size 27” X 53” The gate image is on your matchbook. This is another postcard that does show the carpet on the floor of the restaurant. The last picture is of George by his station wagon.

George was an entrepreneur to the max. He made the first shuttle bus at Lake Tahoe. I did a 5-page story with pictures about him July 1998 in the club magazine. I can e-mail a photocopy of my story to anyone that is interested.
