As the story goes...When the Last Frontier Village opened their casino, they wanted to name it the Silver Slipper. But...there was already a Silver Slipper on the Boulder Highway. So the Last Frontier named their casino the Golden Slipper, until they bought the name from the Boulder Highway Silver Slipper. Then they changed their casino's name from Golden Slipper to Silver Slipper.

I tried to find the Boulder Highway Silver Slipper in a phone book, or in a business directory, but I came up empty. The only thing I found was a chart of how much a cab could charge to go to the Silver Slipper, in 1945. It doesn't give the location, but the business directory is from 1945...so it had to be the Boulder Highway location.
