That's supposedly the plan here in California, to get them off the sidewalks and parks. The government would pay some subsidy to the hotels but . . . who knows what the rooms will end up like? Graffiti on the walls, bedbugs, ticks in the beds, whatever. Yeah, I once rented a room in a Rancho Cordova "pet-friendly" motel and found a friendly tick walking across the quilt blanket.

So the hotels may get some cash but take a high risk as to condition of their suites.
