That's exactly how I feel about most of the best ones I've had to let go.
Many years ago anything that was acquired for my collection stayed there but somebody who had a greater need than I managed to get some out of my mitts and it went from there. I wanted to help him get the best collection he could so let him have all of mine he didn't have and kept an eye out for any more the same. I still do it and his collection is amazing which makes me feel better about letting them go in the first place.
When I do sell stuff the most important thing is that they are going to good homes and hopefully at a price that both think is fair.
