I have friends who are pilots with American and after seeing that type of technology demonstrated on a TV program once I discussed it with one of them. The simple answers were #1 Computers can't THINK and #2 If a problem exists that ALSO affects the computer (or makes sensors inaccurate) who's there to fly it MANUALLY? The risk and public acceptance is not what it needs to be yet. But will soon.. (as per one American pilot)
