...in your long list of non-Arab terrorist attacks is, all of those that you listed involved mentally ill people, a drunk, thieves, drug dealers or persons involved in disputes with their own governments. I did a quick read, but I don't think a single example that you listed was in any form a terrorist threat to this country, nor directly aimed at Americans with the intent to inflict injury or death specifically on Americans.
America and Americans are my priority. Muslim extremists, a huge majority (all?) of them Arabs, have been THE terrorists that have bombed our soldiers, have blown up our embassies, conducted the 1st WTC bombing back in 1993, hijacked the planes that were flown into the WTC towers, the Pentagon and straight into the ground in Pennsylvania just a week ago. All direct attacks on America or Americans. They even today issue threats aimed at us. They possibly had more attacks planned that were thwarted in the last week.
Until the threat posed by an identifiable group of people is ended, those are the people that we must put under greater scrutiny than others.
Is violence or intimidation against Arab Americans wrong? Absolutely! Is indiscriminate deportation or internment of Arab Americans wrong? Absolutely! Is singling out those Arab Americans who might have followed the same set of behavior patterns that those who hijacked the planes a week ago for investigation right? Absolutely! While it is profiling, it certainly isn't based in racism. It is profiling terrorists.
