As many of you know the town of Mt. Juliet, TN (just East of Nashville) was hit by a tornado last week. Club member John Zoesch lives in Mt. Juliet with his wife Cindy.
I just talked to John and Cindy a few minutes ago - they were on their way to Lowes to pick up supplies to fix up their house. Overall they were very lucky = a lot of trees down - one fell on their front porch, broken windows, some minor roof damage - but nothing catastrophic. They have electric (that was restored 2 days after the storm) - computer service should be back in a couple of days.
However their neighbors did not fare as well. There about 10 homes on their street that are severely damaged and will have to be torn down. Cindy said there is debris everywhere and the roads are just barely passable in many areas.
I am sure John will give an account of the damage and have some pictures to share when his internet service is restored.
Thank God that the Zoeschs are OK and on their way to getting back to normal as things could have been much, much worse for them. Twenty-six people died in this powerful tornado.
Keep them in your thoughts and prayers. You never know what tomorrow may bring - your entire life can be changed in a matter of minutes.
Take care,
Jerry
