Attorney General Ashcroft, during his afternoon press conference warned of a new virus that is causing heavy traffic on the web. He mentioned that the virus spreading rapidly. He told that the virus protection companies are working with the Justice Department and FBI to combat this. The companies that write virus scanning software have, according to the Attorney General, updated their websites to include files to fix and Identify the virus. He mentioned that it is the same as Admin except backwards NIMDA. He does not know though if that is coincidental or if it actually has meaning. I just checked FBI.gov and there is no press release yet. Will post more when I find it.
