Free slot play is not totally useless. Just play a jacks or better video poker game, keep track of how much of the free play you have spent and then cash out once running thru the money one time. I only play one coin at a time just to improve the odds of winning a hand or two. I normally get to keep at least 70-80% of the free play amount plus you get to sit and relax as you play for a few minutes. You never know they might even come and give you a free drink.
