HANLEY'S (Thomas Hanley) Marathon, Florida Keys - 1940's - 1966
The tree is a "Jamaican Tall" Coconut. Now extinct in Florida due to Lethal Yellowing; a disease. Since, a Malayan Dwarf cultivar replaced many of the lost trees due to it being resistant to the disease... along with with a more recent hybrid; the Maypan Coconut, though, sadly, they are being attacked by the Whitefly.
