Years ago, we used to have quite a large number of overtly political posts on here. There were numerous nasty arguments that carried over for long periods of time. This was true of people with an array of political opinions and not just a single group. A number of people left the hobby and cited these posts as the reason they no longer enjoyed the hobby. We had discussions on the board about not posting these kinds of posts anymore, or at least, giving people warnings so they could avoid them. Our club president is asking us to do what we can to maintain people in the hobby. In that vein, please consider keeping these posts off of the Chip Board or at least make it very obvious what you are doing and try not to interject non-political posts with political responses. Remember, there are people who read and contribute to the board with all sorts of political beliefs. No matter what political posts you make, you will be offending someone. Yes, you are allowed to post about non-chip related subjects, but politics have proven to create bad feelings, and seem to be better suited elsewhere.

This is not meant to be targeting anyone in particular, but is made in the interests of the hobby.
