a nice example of an European ivory chip.
The less worn Alassio shows no direct indication of being ivory.
The worn one reveals clearly that both elephants are made in ivory.
Although the ears of the elephants are small indicating an Asian elephant, the elephants global anatomy refers to an African elephant.
Considering the thickness, these are 4,6 mm thick (0.18 inches) and the chip marked CM is only 1,2 mm ( 0.05 inch) thick.
The blue chip (listed as casino Knokke on the CG) has 10R on the back and was listed in the collection as being casino de Cologne. The R is logic and there was a casino in Cologne (Germany) but I found nothing more than that. So listed as an UFC in my collection.
