Hello Chippers, what I have say comes with a sad heart; (yeah, you’re right not that sad lol) please know that all of my selling & trading chip inventory have been sold to another “Chipper Extraordinaire” Paul Schaffer.
AKA as Rubes Casino Chips, I heartily recommend him. Give his web site a try (See below). Paul has been working hard at our convention setting the World’s Largest Chip Collection record. Paul is a member of the CCA since 2008. He is a personal friend; and has been for many years.
Please know the POD will be no more; as of now. The transition and clean up of the my Chip Query traders will take some time (several months), with that being said please know that this (POD) Page of the Day will be the last one.
To my regulars that have hold service and still have chips on hold. I have your items and can give you a list of them any time you want to know you have saved.
Please know, that I still have the post cards and will be showing them, along with items of my collection that I will be selling, and consigned items that I will be posting on the CB.

Small Casino. Friendly people. On the way down US 95 is Lake Havasu CA, an 18 mile drive from the highway. Sign says not to annoy the wild burros on the road. I didn't see any, they must have had the day off.
The casino is not much to see. Not at all flashy or casino looking. It's on 3 levels with lots of stairs. For me on my Riding Lawnmower (Mobility Scooter) I had to go outside and up the side of the place to another set of doors for each level. They did however try to make things more accessible as they have a lift for wheelchairs. Very personable security guard saw me scooting around and was quite happy to help me get on the lift and she operated it from the floor 5 feet above me. It goes up the 5 feet to the next level (restaurant, players club) and all of a sudden as I motor forward, the lift begins to very slowly sink back down. I reverse the scooter to keep from being flipped over, half on half off the lift as it descends back to the main slot floor, waving good-bye to the security guard during the decent. She's calling for help, and several managers gathered by the time it reached the bottom. They decided to mark the lift out of order, and showed me the outside path.
Made my way to the top level with the 4 table games, 2 dealers standing at empty tables. A old man pit boss slouched in a chair nearby. Friendly dealer, happy to have something to do. Lost my one BJ hand... Asked the dealer if he'd give me two blue 50 cent chips as I tossed 2 $1 chips his way. "A dollar for the chips, and a toke for you." Dealer looked to the old man, who nodded OK, and I got my 50 centers.
That level with the table games has large windows overlooking the river. Sit at the bar or get a drink ( in my case, a glass of water) and sit right at the windows, slow down and watch the water. It's a Road Trip, not a commute to San Diego...
Slot club sign up gets you discounts for dining, but the best is a free ride on the ferry across the River to the Arizona Side. I'd say most of the patrons arrive that way from AZ, not the California US 95 route.
It's a joint, but a friendly place. I'd go back again.

HAVRE MONTANA, NOTICE THE SPELLING; IT IS DERIVED FROM THE NORTHERN FRENCH CITY OF LE HAVRE. AS YOU SEE THEY DROPPED THE LE. I WAS BORN IN THIS METROPOLIS OF 12,OOO PEOPLE, IN THE LOCAL CATHOLIC HOSPITAL. THE SACRED HEART HOSPITAL. ENOUGH OF MY VITAL STATISTICS; P J’S IS ONE OF THE LOCAL WATERING HOLES WITH A RESTAURANT AND A COUPLE OF CARD TABLES AMID THE SLOT MACHINES THAT ARE SPRINKLED THROUGHOUT THE BUILDING.
I WALKED IN THE CASINO AND JUST BEYOND THE BAR I SAW ONE TABLE OF HOLDEM ACTION. I CASUALLY ASKED IF THERE WAS A BOARD NOTICING THE TABLE HAD NO VACANCIES CURRENTLY. THE BAR MAID SAID YOU WOULD BE NEXT, AND THAT SOUNDED PROMISING SO, I SAID I WILL TAKE THAT NEXT SEAT. MEANWHILE I TRIED TO TALK TO THE BAR MAID ABOUT THE TOWN. I TOLD HER I GREW UP IN GILDFORD AND CAME TO HAVRE TO RAISE HECK, WHEN I WAS A TEENAGER. AND SHE SAID DO YOU KNOW THE GUY IN 3 SEAT, HIS NAME IS …….. AND I SAID I SURE DO. I DECIDED TO WAIT UNTIL I GOT IN THE GAME TO TALK TO HIM, IT WAS JUST AS WELL HE DID NOT WANT TO RELIVE ANY MEMORIES WE HAD. THAT WAS NOT VERY PLEASANT, BUT PEOPLE CHANGE AND SOMETIMES NOT FOR THE BETTER.
MEANWHILE, HAVING BEEN TO THIS PLACE BEFORE I KNEW THEY GUARDED THEIR CHIPS FIERCLY. ALSO, I FOUND OUT THE OWNER WAS SITTING IN CORNER BEHIND ME READING THE PAPER AND OCCASIONALLY TALKING TO A COUPLE OF OLD TIMERS. IT WAS GETTING LATE AND I WAS IN TOWN FOR A CLASS REUNION, I HAD LOT OTHER THINGS TO DO. BUT, BEFORE I COULD LEAVE I HAD TO SCORE A $5 CHIP, BUT; THEY WERE NOT IN PLAY AT THE TABLE, ONLY 50c & $1 CHIPS WERE AVAILABLE, I HAD MY TRUSTY CARGO PANTS POCKETS LINED WITH PJ’S 50c & $1 CHIPS ALREADY. THE DEALER SAID I NEED AN OK FROM PJ TO SELL THE 5’s.
