Yes our CCA Convention Special hotel room rate at the South Point Resort is a very nice great rate.
Plus staying at the same resort that our convention is based, saves lots of drive time, cost of renting a car and just not having to be in the June 110 degree "dry" heat is so stress free.
Last June, I stayed Downtown at the Cal. I thought I'd be saving lots of money, but it only amounted to about $100 savings!
As a volunteer photographer, lodging at the South Point is best for me.
I want to take my photos of as many events and of my fellow CCA Chipp'n Chippers as possible.
Not worrying about catching an Uber back to Downtown LV, which is expensive, but not as much of a rip off taking "long ride" taxi, for me is priceless!
Staying at the South Point is the way to go for me.
I remember one convention staying at the SP, I never went outside the SP property, just too too hot!
Also by staying at the SP, I can easily and stealthily find Chuck G's room and place a Maid Service ASAP sign at midnight on his room door.
LOL! I'd never do that. HAHAHAHA!
