There are some things we can do something about and some we can't. If a bunch of guys (such as McVeigh types) become terrorists and buy local stuff to build bombs... this is difficult to defend against.

But if people enter our country with the idea of committing a terrorist act; and remember there are only 4 ways to get here - driving across from Mexico, drive from Canada, air traffic, or by boat - this is something we can do, defend our borders.

The intelligence agencies will be held to the flame over the next few months, whether rightly or wrongly, but I think we need to revisit how this country is defended from the outside.
