Yes, seem to remember Austin Burke Men's Wear, think he also sold tuxes and of course high-end suits. Nobody in my family could afford them! There was an ornate movie theater down there, probably the one you mention. There was definitely an upper-class presence in Miami Beach, maybe the people who cruised down there for the winter months on their yachts.

There used to be an Armenian restaurant down there named Rondo's (I may be mangling the name), food was delicious - first time I ever ate pita bread (a rarity in Florida) and baklava. Main course would be a shish-kebob with rice pilaf. Today, in Los Angeles, it's easy enough to get these treats but in early 1960's Florida, they were quite exotic. And worth the long drive from Hollywood to downtown Miami Beach!
