Nevada gaming commission requires the cash/value chips to be destroyed (I'm less clear on exactly when that happens, how long folks have to redeem the old chips, etc). Tournament and roulette chips may survive, such as what happened not too long ago w/the Riviera roulette chips before it was imploded.
