I've had this book for a while but only recently realized that the author, Ken Scott, was the same guy
who opened the Town House in Elko in 1938. He talks a lot about the old days in Nevada when crossroaders roamed the land in search of a quick buck and small clubs gaffed their games in response.
Apparently, he left the Town House sometime before it was absorbed by Stockmen's around 1957.
(Both places used the same address, 340 Commercial). He operated games until 1958. I couldn't
find a photo of the TH but I did find one, taken in 1957, of Stockmen's around the time it absorbed
the TH (on the Internet). If anyone has a photo I'd like to see it. The chip image is from the Chip Guide.
