>>>>I do know that 400 of 2000 is NOT a majority. In fact it's not even close.
314 voted for Nate Pincus this last spring and 141 for Jim Reilly, 262 for Jim Steffner. Over 390 on the pledge roll and I don't know what the SlabFreechapter membership is at the moment. I run into club members with some regularity on eBay who I've never heard of before. Apparently they don't post here and keep a low profile otherwise. Looks like 1,250 + don't vote either. Voting in the club election only costs a few moments and 35c postage. Frankly, I have a hard time giving consideration to those who can't even make that contribution to the club. Who knows what they're thinking. However, I wish you'd point out to me if the SlabFree movement has said they represent the majority.
>>>>How can we say the majority of the people are against all forms of slabbing?
I haven't seen it. Never have made the claim myself. You haven't said it have you? Unlike President Pincus, the Slabfree movement hasn't wrapped itself in the rightous belief of representing over 2000 members. We have been working on adding one member at a time. We on the plege list make our numbers and names very public.
There has been a some misrepresentation of SlabFree and the list and the folks participating in either one. I can't help when someone implys that any question or challenge of a statement is an "attack" but I try to be careful of every thing I do say and I urge others to do the same.
