A mix of this-and-that at Long Beach Swap Meet today. The day started warming up with a lot of humidity but I managed to stick it out (pun intended of course) to the last aisle.

Have a vague idea that Caesars Tahoe Christmas Tree Game involved getting a button with a discrete number, and seeing if you could go up to the Christmas Tree for a gift. A lady trying on a fake Diamond and Gold necklace at the vendor's booth expressed immense astonishment as to "what good" the old button might be. I explained that some people are rabid fans of anything connected with gambling. I left her in a puzzled mood, still doing
the fake jewel fashion statement. Leaving us to ponder: are fake Diamonds made from phoney Coal?
