We burned some bridges with NGCB after the complaint(s) to NGCB a while back (re: Pink Taco). We seem to have improved relations in more recent years, even with a Banquet Speaker from there a couple of years ago.
Also, it's a factor that chips are supposed to be "for gaming purposes" and not to satisfy collector demand.
I think most casinos look at chips the same way a carpenter looks at a hammer -- a tool to accomplish their main business, but nothing special. Also, the bloom is off the rose on most LE's / Commemoratives, at least in the frequencies we saw for a while.
On the plus side, I think our MOGH displays around Las Vegas are helpful in showing the historical aspect of casino chips & other collectibles.
Just my personal observations as an outsider to the industry.
