I have a Mandarin speaker on my team at work. Will show the chip to her and see what she says, if it is indeed Mandarin. However, every time I show her a chip with a non-contextual symbol she goes through several minutes of telling me all the possibilities of what it *could* mean before finally settling on something (probably just to appease me). As you say, these symbols are open to interpretation, based on context. For some reason, I just didn't see the Asian connection on this one until Reggie pointed it out. Thanks, all.
