I am an avid collector of Buffalo, NY area bar chips having been to just over 600 bars throughout the Buffalo region. What started out as a small personal collection soon grew into a large collection of over 250 bar chips that I am using to promote Buffalo and Buffalo area bars. I know this number pales in comparison to the vast amount of chips many of you have however I guarantee there is not a single other person in this area who has more bar chips from currently open Buffalo area bars. My friends and I have lived in the Buffalo region our entire lives but Chippin' (as we call it) has brought us to so many never seen before areas as our number one rule is that we must have a drink in EVERY bar, whether or not the bar utilizes drink chips! I have since used the bar chips to create posters and t-shirts to promote Buffalo and Buffalo area bars. I'm also hoping this will encourage those bars that don't use chips to reconsider their poor decision! Chip Maker Chuck Gajewski who resides in the Buffalo area recently reached out to me after finding our poster and pointing out that he was responsible for creating a dozen or so chips on the poster. He also came up with the idea of creating our own chip (can't believe we didn't think of that).
