perhaps this particular chip received rough handling at some point causing the glue holding the label (if that's how they do it) to fail? I don't see the hats-and-canes mold on the outer ring on the $5 shown by Mr. Spinetti in his post, either. Not sure the Veins of Gold -- ok, tulle -- design is meant to show a mold as well as the gold. Downtown Grand Anniv. chip doesn't show them either (CG213993) nor does the Rain Rock $25 (CG199474).
